    Hi from South Africa

Hi all, happy to be a member of this forum. I'm a Dharma practitioner from South Africa. I am in the process of transitioning to the Theravada tradition from the Vajrayana tradition. I have found the transition easier to make by becoming a member of Treeleaf Zendo, speaking to a Zen priest and his guidance and advice have been very helpful. I will be joining Ajahn Anan's Zoom Dhamma teachings soon.

So yeah, that's me. Happy to be here.

I'm happy to inform you that Ven. Jundo Cohen of Treeleaf Zendo is a member here.... and we also have a Zen Sub -forum of the Mahayana forum here on the website.

I also highly recommend that you investigate the Theravada Thai Forest Tradition teachings of Ajahn Chah.

Hi Clint. Welcome to BWB. I'd be interested in what form your transitioning is taking.

Hi Aloka, thank you. I thought Jundo might be a member here. That's wonderful. Ajahn Anan is in the Thai Forest Tradition, he was a student of Ajahn Chah. I will definitely check out your link.

Thanks Phil. My transition is in essence taking the form of unfettering myself from Vajrayana. The priest at Treeleaf Zendo and I have communicated via email a lot and although I love Zen, I found myself to be more drawn to Theravada. His wife practices in the Theravada tradition.
