Please share which of the historical Buddha's teachings have recently inspired you the most...and why?

The Four Noble Truths... it is a universal teaching for all forms and schools of Buddhism... its the promise of the Buddha to quench suffering. Each school adapts it to its traditions and sectarian teachings but in essence it keeps its spirit and permeates the docrines of each school.

Another one is the "five facts that one should reflect on often, whether one is a woman or a man, lay or ordained." This teaching is a compass that guides us during all of our lifetime and keeps us in peace with oneself and brings equanimity to our mind.
