    As a liberal, I am not opposed to a drug that makes people more liberal. I understand that conservatives would not be happy with that, which is the main reason that psychedelics are currently illegal. Certainly much of the liberalism of the 1960s was fueled by LSD and other psychedelics. The inebriant excesses of the '60s should probably be avoided if possible, but the liberalism was, in my opinion, a positive outcome of those times.

    The therapeutic uses of these substances are undeniable. Psychedelic therapy with LSD is still the most successful known treatment for alcoholism.
