This article only scratches the surface of what equanimity means in the Buddhist sense, bringing in one aspect of how we can change our relationship with other people, especially those who do us wrong, or are simply not very nice human beings. Equanimity is not an emotion but a way of being in the world, the result of seeing the world as it is through insight experiences, and of living in the world in the aftermath of having gone through them. As such it needs a much wider exploration than that in the article.
