    Greetings -

Looking forward to some satisfying discussions where critical thinking is in evidence. I am foremost an agnostic Buddhist as detailed by Stephen Batchelor, but I don't call myself a Buddhist, preferring to describe myself as "on the path." My main interests where Buddhism intersects is ecology and global change, engaged Buddhism, cognitive and neuroscience, and psychology. I'm quite talented at buying books on Buddhism and displaying them on my bookshelves! I'll have them all read someday! And after that, I'll act on the wisdom contained therein! Hope you guys have a sense of humor but can still compose forceful arguments. Oh, and another thing...
    I'm old. 60.

    Hi Synergi, welcome back!

I think its about nine years since you last posted here and quite a few things have changed since then. There are more discusson forums on the website now (please check them for descriptions and pinned guidelines) and we also have an updated Code of Conduct which outlines the website rules.

Looking forward to reading your posts.

    With metta,

Hi Synergi. I think you'll find that 60 isn't that old...

Welcome Synergi! I love your characterization of being "on the path." Really resonates with me. Oh yes, I can also relate to your bookshelf situation! I have to say that, if you are "old" then so am I, at 66.
