    Hi!

    My name is Laura and I am 51 years old, married to justusryans, and mama to Bella, our 16 some year old cat. My husband is Buddhist and encouraged me to join this website, since I also appreciate Buddhism and try to be a Buddhist. What most attracts me to Buddhism is the focus on compassion, the lack of dogma, the emphasis on finding your own path, and the ever changing nature of things; focusing on the present. I don’t read like my husband does, so don’t know nearly as much. I especially enjoy watching YouTube videos of Thich Nhat Hahn and Ajah Brahm. I’m interested in learning how to apply Buddha’s teachings as a role model as to how to be at peace in controversial or offensive situations. I’m glad to be here!
