Our cells depend on mitochondria to power them, but these were originally external creatures to our far ancestors, entering a symbiotic relationship known as Endosymbiosis, whereby a single-celled organism resides within another cell as part of a mutually beneficial relationship. We owe our evolution to those creatures who still live as an integral part of us to this day https://www.nature.com/scitable/topi...dria-14232356/

Our sun on its own can produce elements only up to Iron (theoretically). Practically, it produces 98% of the time helium from hydrogen.

All other elements known to us here on earth were produced somewhere else and captured in the gas cloud that formed our solar system.

All such heavier elements like gold, silver, platinum, uranium, etc. can only be formed when a star explodes!

For every piece of gold and silver jewelry found on earth a star had to explode (and destroy an entire solar system) to create those elements. All the vital elements like carbon, oxygen etc. that created life on earth came from such an event.
