    I get the irony and the messages, but humour rarely translates well. Slapstick has to be seen rather than described, so maybe some of these would work better as cartoons. I suspect that for the rest, it's the way you tell them.

    There are some much funnier scenes in the origin stories of the Vinaya, such as how it came to be that the Buddha clarified that the "no sex" rule for monastics includes "no sex with animals."
