    not sure

i have no say on what is cooked in our house, my mother in law does the cooking and usually prepares meat as the main dish. i'm not sure if i become vegetarian if i will be able to be healthy and have a full stomach since veggies and fruit are not often served in our house. i have no say on what food is bought either. i was just wondering what is the thought on this.

Buddhist monks only eat the food that is offered to them. Therefore, their food situation is very similar to your food situation.

Buddhist monks eat meat when it is offered to them. The Buddha did not directly teach vegetarianism.

There is a difference between when you intentionally choose to eat certain types of food and when you do not choose what you eat.

When you do not choose what you eat, you are not making any 'kamma' (intentional action).

    Regards
