    Approaches to Practice: Secular Buddhism?

This is a video of Chris Ward of the Amaravati Monastery Lay Buddhist Association giving a talk about Secular Buddhism a couple of years ago at the London Buddhist Society.

Have given many lectures at the college level regarding Theravadan Buddhist practice from a lay perspective. Never thought of beginning the lectures with a short meditation session. Might steal this ideal in the future.

    Thanks for sharing this, Aloka.

Interesting stuff but a bit slow. The thought of religious ownership and selling Buddhism through the back door raises some interesting thoughts.

I also found the comparison of Yoga and Mindfulness revealing. Chris comes across a nice guy who first wants to help people before any Buddhism loyalty. So while I find his presentation style a bit monotonous I for sure would read anything he wrote and wish him well.

Tx Aloka for another informative source
