Dukkha given as a ‘truth’ is aimed at how one deals with ‘suffering'; pain, angst, dissatisfaction and Ṭhanissāro’s “stress” as a subjective reality. What helps to unpack and explain this is the 2nd ‘truth’ where there is craving or taking this ‘dukkha’ as personal as causal to carrying dukkha forward. The 3rd tells us that once realised there begins the pathway to full release in #4.

    Thank you Ancientbuddhism,

Thanks for explaining the distinction of taking dukkha as personal and as causal and the pathway to release.

    Cheers
