How was your week ?
Dear friends,
We used to have a thread 'How was your week?' in which our members could reflect briefly on the past week and perhaps make an aspiration for the following one.
Not intended for very long blog-type postings, though!
Here it is again....
With metta,

I have revised for and done exams, worked 20 hours in the local pub, joined this site and played with some of the concepts and ideas I'm finding from Buddhist teachings/works. :)

This is a nice idea for a thread. Last (this?) week I watched my part of the world unfurl it's final bloom of wild intense green and experienced the first dense summer heat. I dodged the overgrown bushes by the front path and realized finally, without doubt or stress, that they would never be trimmed. My husband with his natural Buddha nature cannot bring himself to trim them as too many birds make their nests in them. We don't have to walk on the path, right?. we can always walk on the grass.
My coming aspirations are to continue enjoying the amazing meditation hall that I 'found' just down the road - under my nose for 10 years - and to continue watching the world unfold without imposing too much of my own agenda on it.

Lovely to hear from some of our members on this thread....and an opportunity to use the "group hug" smilie!

Nothing of particular interest about the past week to mention myself, but I am hoping the chilly, wet weather we've been having here will improve so that I do some much needed weeding over the weekend .

Great idea for a thread. I recovered from a nasty virus that knocked me out last week, so the beginning of this week was full of that new-found feeling of appreciation that comes from feeling well after being ill. Hope to keep it up next week to make a lot of progress on a project I'm very excited about for work.

Very busy with lots of work. It is report time, so a lot of marking to do. It is also a time to reflect on my practices as a teacher and to develop ideas and strategies that are more beneficial for my students.

My week was busy. Explored a few Buddhist centers. I learned much about the different traditions of Buddhism. Still looking for the right one.
